Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm Lunch & Learn
The Iverson family began growing tulips in 1974. By the early 1980’s they had over 15 acres and needed to broaden the market base, so in 1983 they started the Wooden Shoe Bulb Company and in 2001 changed their name to Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm.
Today, they open their fields for an entire month from the end of March to the first week of May. Besides taking bulb orders and selling cut flowers, they now sell potted tulips, gift shop items, and have all sorts of food and activities on the weekends. They have recently opened a Fall Gift Shop, Wine Tasting Room and a Summer Event Garden.
The Educational Focus of the Lunch & Learn will be around their Tulips and what they incorporate into the tulip experience including:
